About the Blue-striped Clownfish

The Blue-striped Surgeonfish (Acanthurus lineatus) lives in the coral reefs of the Indo-Pacific. Its bright blue and yellow longitudinal stripes make it one of the most striking reef fish of all. Like all surgeonfish, it has sharp, scalpel-like bony plates at the base of its tail, which give it its German name.
