About the Pennantfish

The Pennantfish (Heniochus acuminatus) lives in the coral reefs of the Indo-Pacific. Its strikingly elongated dorsal fin, which resembles a fluttering pennant, gives it its name. It feeds on small invertebrates, plankton, and algae and is often seen in pairs or small groups along the reef slopes.
