About the Narwhal

The narwhal (Monodon monoceros) lives in the cold waters of the Arctic and is best known for its long, spiral-shaped tusk. In males, this tusk can grow up to three meters long, making the narwhal one of the most fascinating marine mammals in the world. Because of its unique appearance, it is often referred to as the “unicorn of the seas.”
