About *The Spanish Dancer*

The Spanish Dancer (Hexabranchus sanguineus) lives in the tropical waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. It is one of the largest nudibranchs in the world and can grow up to 60 centimeters in length. It owes its name to its undulating swimming motion, during which its bright red mantle resembles the dress of a flamenco dancer. During the day, it usually remains hidden, while at night it goes in search of sponges to eat.
